Every kitchen needs the essentials. And one of those is the perfect kitchen towel. It is a great understatement to say that I have baked and cooked my way through many a tea (smaller) and flour sack (larger and more durable) towel. A few years ago, I stumbled upon Studiopatro and quickly ordered a batch to sell in the bakery. Then again when I opened my lifestyle shoppe, Blacksmith & Co. Naturally, I snagged a few for myself because they were as amazing as I had hoped.

The thing about being a towel snob is that once you’ve had the best, you can’t go back. Specifically, Flour Sack style. Flour Sack Towels are much larger than your standard kitchen/tea towel. And they are far more durable. I love the way it naturally wrinkles and shows texture in photos. It feels great to the touch, and softens with each wash. Whether you cook for a living or a hobby, or necessity, you need a great towel by your side.

What I love most about Studiopatro’s Flour Sack Towels, are that they are even bigger than most (we’re talking use it as an apron large!), are 100% cotton, have a little loop tag perfect for hanging, and are large enough to use as on oven mitt (just fold it over a few times). Oh, and they are great for polishing glass (especially when used with my Glass Cleaner sold through Blacksmith & Co.) because, get excited… lint free!

Baker’s Note

Always use the best quality, organic ingredients. Get to know your local farmers and source the best. Each ingredient greatly impacts the outcome of your food, so choose each as if you are eating it on it’s own, even down to salt. One of the most important parts of what sets my recipes apart is the purely non-gmo ingredients that fill my kitchen.

Every recipe starts with room temperature ingredients, unless noted otherwise. Place everything, yes, even the butter and eggs, on the counter the night before you plan to bake or at least 4 hours prior.
